My previous piece “The Long Way Home” was about returning to myself. This piece is about what I found when I arrived.

There were times when everything felt uncertain - shifting waters, changing skies, and no clear sense of direction. But beneath all the movement, something steady was always there.

The mountains.

This painting holds the realisation that even when I felt lost and overwhelmed, there was a strength in me that didn’t disappear even when I doubted it.

The boat still drifts, the water still moves, but the peaks stand firm against the sky. The mountains symbolise a promise that whatever changes around us, there is strength and stability for us to stand on. And from there, we keep going.

This is an acrylic painting on a 80 x 60cm box canvas with painted edges.
