Some moments stay with us long after they've passed.

The way sunlight catches on still water. The sound of birds overhead. The feeling of standing somewhere so peaceful that, just for a while, everything else falls away.

While painting this, I found myself thinking about how we collect those moments without realising it. They stay with us and become places we return to long after we've left.

Perhaps that's the light we keep.
